LVDT is the acronym for a "Linear Variable Differential Transformer" which is a displacement measuring instrument.

Attached is a technical data sheet reviewing the HI LVDT sensor. Hardy Process Solutions HI 3030 Weight Controllers Were designed to accept the output of an LVDT which can reach 400 millivolts.

Hardy Process Solutions no longer supplies LVDT load sensors, but this article was left for you as reference when using the LVDT type load cell.
